At the heart of Oceanside’s bustling Cultural District sits the historic Sunshine Brooks Theater, a 1930s-era movie house turned live performance venue in the 1990s. Oceanside Theatre Company recently launched a bold initiative to revitalize this important cultural gem and ensure its place in the city’s history for the next generation of performers, students, and community members.
Phase 1 of the renovation includes streamlining circulation, creating a destination in the lobby, enhancing concession capabilities, renovating the studio theater, and adding new single user accessible restrooms. OP has produced conceptual designs and visualizations and models suitable for fundraising efforts while also creating comprehensive permit and construction drawings and leading a detailed cost estimating effort.
