Object Projects is working with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater San Diego to reimagine the SD Padres Branch as a more welcoming, active, and community-focused environment for young people and their families. The project builds on the Club’s existing programs while introducing new spaces that support recreation, food education, gathering, and a stronger sense of identity from the moment visitors arrive.
The design includes a new wiffle ball field, an expanded kitchen and culinary training program, and a newly branded entry and reception area that creates a clearer and more welcoming front door to the Club. Together, these improvements are intended to broaden the ways young people can learn, play, gather, and build skills, while giving the branch a stronger connection to its partnership with the San Diego Padres.
OP’s work has included conceptual design, visualizations, and physical modeling to help communicate the project vision and support fundraising and community engagement. The project reflects a larger goal of transforming a familiar neighborhood institution through targeted improvements that make everyday spaces more inspiring, legible, and full of opportunity.
